Next stop was Gullfoss (the Golden Falls). This waterfall (fed from a glacier and silty, hence "golden") was massive. We took the paths down and took some great photographs.

We then took the but to Geysir, one of the biggest geysers in the world. Although active, it doesn't go off regularly or as often as it would make sense to wait of it to erupt. Upside was the whole park was full of bubbling hot springs and such. Next to it was Strokkur, which is also big and impressive but goes off every couple of minutes. We got a couple of nice shots of this one.

What is also kind of fun, there were no barriers. There were signs not to go too close, but if you fall it and die, its on your head. Awesome.

The next leg of the trip took us to a cool volcanic crater with a lake in it (very nice). Alyssa pretended she was falling in for the camera.

Last stop for the tour was a little town known for very close volcanic springs. They have spas and greenhouses all heated by this steam. The greenhouse was around 90 degrees and steamy. Otherwise, not that super interesting.

Because of the nice long day, we just went home and crashed. I made some food (picked up some things at the grocery store) but we stayed in and rested.
