Our last morning, we went on a tour of the city. Compared to Stockholm, it was not very old nor amazing. But it was cool and Alyssa and I definitely want to go back.
We saw the President's house (which was the farmhouse sort of building in several of the photos) as well as other sites around the city. We saw a big fish market which was very cool, since what was there was just caught that morning.
One of which was the Pearl, which is a museum and restaurant, but actually as an afterthought. All the water in the city is hot and comes out of the ground that way. They need to cool it to use as cold water. However the water towers were ugly, so they disguised them.
We also figured out the nondescript (but nicely gardened and bearing a statue out-front) that was really right next door to where we were staying was the Prime Minister's office. Oh, and the other places right next to where we stayed were some of the best places to eat in the country. Awesome. Definitely need to go back now that we know this...
Last we took a look at the cathedral, which was pretty cool. New, but cool. The organ, supposedly, is really amazing and the whole place was built around the acoustics.
We then made our way back to our apartment, packed up, and headed to the airport. I took a few pictures of the place, since it was really interesting of a design (the guy who owns and runs it supposedly works as a designer and consultant for hotels in the U.S. and Europe).
